Arrival to Hungary
By Air
You will arrive at 2A or 2B terminal of Liszt Ferenc Airport. You are advised to take the Airport-Downtown shuttle (minibus service) from the airport to Keleti Railway station.
Another possibility is to take the door-to-door shuttle service (e.g. Agora (link: http://agoratrans.hu )) from the airport to your selected accomodation. Reservations need to be made in advance, and can be made on-line.
By Train
You will probably arrive in Budapest at either Keleti or Nyugati Railway Stations (East or West Railway Stations). Both of them are located in the city centre. Trains to Miskolc start from Keleti, so if you arrive at Nyugati, you have to take the underground to get to Keleti (5 stops, changing from the blue line to the red line at Deák tér).
From Budapest to Miskolc
By car
Miskolc can be accessed from the direction of Budapest on M3/M30 Motorway within the shortest time. The city is an interconnection point: Road 3 coming from Budapest leads along Hernád-valley to the Slovakian border and from there to Košice.
Main road 37 from Zemplén region and Main road 26 leading the traffic of Main road 27 from the settlements of North-Borsod arrive here. The city can be accessed from the direction of Eger also through the Bükk Mountains on a scenic forest road.
By train
There are InterCity trains running from Keleti railway station to Miskolc in every hour. Travel time: approx. 2 hours, without stopping (or with one stop).

WARNING! Please be aware that due to track reconstruction works, from 4 February 2019 until 7 December 2019, train traffic and time table changes take place on the BUDAPEST – HATVAN railway line. Further information can be found on these below link:

From Miskolc Tiszai Railway Station to the University By taxi
If you arrive by train at Tiszai railway station, the easiest way to take a taxi to get to the university.
Travel fare: is about HUF 2000 (€7).
